Recipes For LIFE

What is Recipes for LIFE?

In generations past, skills and crafts were passed on from one generation to the next from parent to child. But as our culture has become more fast-paced or family situations have been less than favorable, some generations haven't been able to learn these skills and crafts. The Recipes for LIFE cooking class teaches basic cooking skills while showing over 40 recipes that can be made for $5 each.

Features :

  • Meets weekly for 6 sessions.
  • Sessions last about 3 hours.
  • Class size is about 2-9 people.
  • We meet at local churches.

Benefits of knowing how to cook :

  • Self-confidence from skills learned
  • Improved health through better nutrition
  • Increased assets through money saved
  • Better use of LIFE provided resources
  • Relationships are strengthened through love demonstrated

Why are we doing this?

One reason is we feel that knowledge of cooking skills is very helpful in day-to-day living. And we have been fortunate to have learned these skills and would like to pass them on to other people who might enjoy or benefit from having cooking skills.

But the main reason we are doing this is because we believe in Jesus Christ and, as His followers, He has said that we should Love one another and to help each other through life. Jesus lived with all the challenges and troubles we face in life. And He has asked us to help each other when troubles come our way.
So, because Jesus showed us love in our lives, we are wanting to do the same to others.

There are currently no classes scheduled.  If you are interested in a class, please let our staff know and we will try to get on scheduled as soon as possible
